Too much work and things to do. So many things they block my view
Like puppies eager to be fed, I cannot shake them off my leg

Feed the cat, clean the hob, fix the car, reply to Bob
Urgent letters through my door, can join the others in this drawer

And what of the dreams lying trapped in my head
I need a hero, who'll do the work instead
Someone who's top drawer
This is a job for

Idling away on empty things. Keeps me prisoner, clips my wings

Future Me, never came. Hours of dreaming all in vain
His origin story's way too long. While villainous work is piling on

I'll get some software to list my to dos
And tick when they're done, how can I lose
First I'll check the app store
The actual work's a job for
