Concerts
Every year, OVFF presents many fine concerts.
This year we are changing the schedule quite a bit, but we still have lots of concerts for your listening enjoyment.
The Pegasus Nominees Concert has been moved to Saturday afternoon at 3 PM Eastern time. Due to the nature of our convention this year, we will not be presenting the traditional Chamberfilk concert, or One-Shots. Instead, we will have several more half hour concerts by artists from all over the world. We will also hear concerts from our Guest of Honor, Toastmaster, and Interfilk Guests, all of whom will also be returning next year so we can see them in person in 2021.
Pegasus Nominees Concert
The Pegasus Awards Nominees concert will be held on Saturday afternoon this year, to accommodate filkers from many timezones. At this concert, all of the songs nominated in the "Best Filk Song", "Best Classic Filk Song", "Best Space Song", and "Best Media Song" are presented; sometimes by the the original composer, sometimes by other performers. Since the concert will be virtual this year, we may also be able to present all the candidates in the "Best Performer" and "Best Writer/Composer" categories. This affords everyone one last chance to hear the songs before the balloting closes (see the Pegasus page for more details on this years' Nominees!).
The Pegasus Winners will be announced on Sunday afternoon, Eastern time this year.
One-Shots
Traditional "One-Shots" will not be available this year. Instead, we encourage any performers that were interested in a one shot slot to perform in one or more of our many filk rooms.
OVFF's Recording Policy
Individuals are welcome to make recordings of performances on the concert stage and in the open filks for their own private use, as long as
the recording is unobtrusive and the performer's implied permission is given. Performers have the
option of announcing, "Please don't record me" prior to their performance, and we expect everyone to comply with their wishes. Failure to do so will have negative results.
In addition, permission to record private conversations is never assumed to be given. If you happen to record one, please delete it!
