Joe Raftery sings Bass. Joe wrote his first filk song for a folk club in 1978, and debutted it at the 1979 Brighton Worldcon. After gafiating for 20 years (in which time he helped raise his two daughters) he sauntered into the 2000 FilkContinental thanks to David Peek. Since then he has distinguished himself by infecting his two daughters with filk and being an unofficial "Uncle Joe" to small filk children. Joe does not remember when he joined the nMC, so we assume it is at least 50 years or 200 yards. Perhaps best known for creating the filk Brady Bunch, and building shelves, Joe remains vaguely unsure of how he got here but we love him anyway. |
