I hear the song of the old kitchen kettle
While dusting the elf-sword that hangs near the clock
After all...
In between meals, I prefer to sit, writing
But I'll welcome my guests if a wizard should knock

Come in, old friends, there's a chill to the autumn air
Sit by the fire while I close the door
You've got your schemes to make this a better world
My only plan is to serve tea at four

When he brings dwarves to their place at the table
We'll start with a toast to brave Thorin at rest
After all...
Peace in the hills, flowing wealth on the river
Are the legacies bought with the stone on his breast
