Gwen Knighton RafterySAM

Gwen Knighton Raftery lives in Scone, not far from Perth, in Scotland. She has one partner, two amazing stepdaughters and their equally amazing partners, four kitty cats, and an assortment of harps and hobbies. From four thousand miles away, it’s difficult to make it to Three Weird Sisters rehearsals, so Gwen became member emeritus of the band in 2004 when she moved to the UK. She has worked for the English Folk Dance and Song Society, Apple Retail, and now enjoys a beautiful with a quiet garden. She knits a lot, sings a lot, writes, tells stories, and makes other people smile. She loves people, the stars, magic of all descriptions, and being herself. She gives time, hugs, stories, advice, and the rest of herself freely. Gwen writes songs about all of the above, and sometimes Y.
