Rachel Georgeson

Rachel Georgeson, AKA "The Fiddler", (previously known as Rachel Shurmer before getting hitched!!!) has performed as a singer-songwriter, fiddle player, classical singer and actress. She has composed music for theatre productions, run music workshops for actors and taught music and drama in schools.

No shrinking violet on stage, her performances have ranged from putting on an open air gig on the site of a knocked-down toilet block as part of the Kicking the Can festival in Bath, England, to playing Mary Poppins in a variety show at the London Palladium. Most recently, she was seen playing fiddle at the Glastonbury Festival for Cam Valley Morris Men.

She has been on the UK filk scene for several years, a member of Cosmic Trifle before collaborating with Talis, Mich & Marilisa in Divine Strumpet.
