Jeff and Maya Bohnhoff have been playing music together since 1979. Jeff is a guitarist, songwriter, producer and recording engineer. Maya, in addition to having a gorgeous singing voice is a respected science fiction and fantasy author. They are known for writing both parodies and haunting original songs. Jeff and Maya have released 8 CDs, 4 of their original music - Labyrinth, I Remember the Rain, Möbius Street, and Manhattan Sleeps; and 4 albums of parodies - Schroedinger's Hairball, Grated Hits, Aliens Ate My Homework!, and Retro Rocket Science. The video Jeff created of his parody Midichlorian Rhapsody (from Grated Hits) went viral on YouTube in late 2010, with over 865,000 views so far. Jeff and Maya have collaborated with ex-Duras Sisters Chris Dickenson and Elizabeth Burnham on the CD Harmony Heifers, which Jeff produced and arranged. Jeff has produced many albums for other artists, including multiple albums for Mary Crowell, Seanan McGuire, Betsy Tinney, and Nancy Freeman; as well as albums for Twotonic (Steve Macdonald and Katy Dröge-Macdonald), Scott Snyder, Char McKay, and others. His most recent collaboration is Bridge, an album featuring songs by many artists, with performances by many singers and instrumental performers, which he produced, engineered and arranged. When not working in their studio, they can usually be found at cons loitering around filk circles late at night.
