This is a log of the changes that have been made to the OVFF 22 website since it went live. Well, some of the changes, anyway.
- 2006-08-01
- The Pegasus Awards nominating poll is now closed. The alert texts and Pegasus pages have been updated to reflect that, and links to the nominating ballot have been commented out.
- Added the lyrics/chords to the 1998 Songwriting Competition "Dreams" category winning song "Outward Dream", by Judith Hayman to the winning song collection, and linked to it from the past winners page.
- 2006-07-20
- Updated the "Alert" text about the Pegasus Awards Nominating Ballots to point out that nominations close at the end of the day on July 31, 2006.
- Updated the hotel information both on the main page and on the hotel page with some numbers that I got from the reservations desk at the hotel.
- Slight update to Mary Crowell's bio on the Guests page.

- Pegasus Brainstorming Poll results added and the nominating process has begun. This has caused changes to numerous pages and the alert text found on most pages. The site navigation referring to the brainstorming poll now refers to the nominating ballot. News page also updated.

- The 2006 Pegasus Brainstorming Poll has now closed. Several pages have been updated to reflect that information.

- Added a Forum link to the tab-style navigation links at the top of the page.
- Put a "New" indicator (
)next to the OVFF Forum link in the site navigation bar.
- Minor updates to the Songwriting Competition page.
- Removed the "Filk Resources" section at the bottom of the page navigation and put an entry in the site navigation section for "Filk Resources".
- Hid the "Programming" section in the page links section on most non-programming related pages, added a "Kids Programming" link to the main navigation bar, and migrated the "Banquet" item to the Memberships page navigation section.
- 2006-03-24
- Updated Hotel page to point to the Clarion Dublin's own website rather than the Choice Hotels version. Also updated the directions links and the large format hotel layout image (reached by clicking on the layout on the right in the Hotel Room Blocking on that page) to the one used on the Clarion's website.
- Some Pegasus site updates to reduce the number of aparent broken links (Thanks, Steve!)

- Minor updates to the navigation bar -- changed "Children's Programming" to "Kid's Programming" to make it fit better. Also dropped the "2006" from "2006 Brainstorming Poll", also to make it fit better on narrow windows.

- Corrected Paul Kwinn's bio on the Guests page. Paul pointed out some factual errors and updated some other information in an e-mail. I'm still trying to figure out where I got the incorrect bit about "Dark Man"; I know where "trio" came from.

- Added an "Updated" string to the footer shown on the main site pages.
- Improved accessability somewhat according to Watchfire WebXACT (with thanks to Joe Kesselman for pointing me to the service).
- Updated the navigation bar (on the left) to not use between words in some of the items, thus allowing the links to wrap when they get squeezed. It may not look great, but it is better than using tables, I believe, as they don't work well in text browsers.
- 2006-03-08
- Added "Helvetica" to the font-family list for the style for the header tags (<h1>,<h2>,<h3>,<h4>) in order to address a problem experienced by people using browsers on Fedora Core 3 and Ubuntu Linux 5.10. I'm guessing that those distributions don't have either Verdana or Arial in their installed fonts for the default X11 configuration. I'm unable to verify that the fix works at this time, but it doesn't break anything either.

- Fixed the credits page (missing HTML due to cut-and-paste error resulted in triggering an IE bug causing the bottom portion of the page to vanish when you moved the pointer over the site navigation links.)

- Corrected spelling on the OVFF Pegasus page.
- Changed representation of picture and biography links on past guests page.
- Added links to pictures of OVFF Honored Guests from OVFF 17 to past guests page.
- Added link to OVFF 17 program book PDF file to past guests page.
- Added links to pictures of OVFF Honored Guests from OVFF 16 to past guests page.
- Changed Credits page over to the local/global navigation menu style and removed the expanded links, replacing them with the Site Trivia links.
- Linked to this Updates page from the Credits page.
- 2006-03-05
- Changed CSS style sheet to improve printing of pages from the site. The navigation menus do not take up space when using browsers that support @media print sections in style sheets.
- Modified the pre-registration form to print on a single page and also to look better both on the screen and on paper. In doing so, changed the font used for the text input fields to a mono-spaced variety. This should make reading and transcribing data from the printed pre-registration forms less error prone.
- Added Memberships section to the expanded links on the left side of the pages, linking to various parts of the memberships page.
- Highlighted the pre-registraion information and link to pre-registration form on the Memberships page.
- Removed "breadcrumbs" stuff from upper-left of the main page. (Suggested by Margaret Middleton.)
